Greensboro man quits job to become caregiver for bedridden wife, sons with disabilities
I was so touched by this incredible story and the enormous love that this man has for his family.
If only every family had similar means to be able to care for each other on a daily basis, not only each other’s physical needs but their emotional needs as well.
And instead of checking off a list of things to do before the sun goes down each day, what if we found time for being present and joyful in as many moments as possible?
If we can do that, even in times of challenges, hardship and tragedy, we will live a life of richness and fullness that we never imagined.
I think that this is especially important at the holidays, where we run from one place to the next, trying to fit IT ALL in, trying to buy All The Things. Maybe this holiday we can focus on the ones we are with, putting down the smartphones and social media, and really filling our hearts and our time with Joy, Warmth, Love, and Presence.
The most precious gift you can give to the one you love is your true presence.—Thich Nhat Hanh
I wish this for all of you, this Holiday season and beyond.
